Study Options after SEE - Which is best subject to choose after SEE
SEE Known as Secondary Education Exam or class 10 exam which was previously Known as School Leaving Certificate (SLC) is the Iron gate for the student after that student have to choose the carrier option in which field they will go like Management, Science, Humanities, etc. This is the Time student have to choose what is best for them.

We will discuss the different Career and Study Options available in Nepal after SEE.

 

NEB (National examinations Board) has offered three major streams in Nepal, Student can choose between Science, Commerce (Management) and Humanities and Arts in class 11 (Grade 11)

 

Science

Science stream is Usually related to Medical, Engineering, Pharma, and other similar fields of science and Research Including IT. Science has different Group i.e. Computer Group, Physical Group, Biological groups. Most students who have good Grades in School Level exams (SEE) takes Science as their major Streams. The Student must Score C+ in all subjects in SEE to Choose Science.

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Botany
  • Zoology
  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science

 

 

Management (Commerce)

Management (Commerce) Stream relates to business, Commerce, Trade, and the Financial Sector and IT. It provides a wide selection of career opportunities. Banking, Accounting, Managerial, Entrepreneurship roles are some example of Career option of Management. The Student must Score D+ in all subjects in SEE to Choose Management.

 

The subjects of Management (Commerce) are:

  • Accountancy
  • Economics
  • Business Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • Hotel Management
  • Travel and Tourism
  • Marketing

Humanities/Arts

The Humanities or Arts is the broadest of all, covering a whole lot of research fields, such as languages, psychology, political science, Sociology and many more. It is the Subject that touches upon the core human values of humanism, hospitality and Social Co-existence. The Student must Score D+ in all subject in SEE to Choose Humanities or Arts.

 

The subjects of Humanities/Arts are:

  • Sociology
  • Mass Communication and Journalism
  • Major English
  • History
  • Linguistics
  • Economics
  • Music
  • Dance
  • Geography
  • Culture
  • Computer Science
  • Environmental Science

  

GCE A level

The GCE (General Certificate of Education), Run under CIE (Cambridge International Education) Board of Cambridge University, is one of the most recognized qualifications as Secondary Level Education Globally and Nowadays, it is popular in Nepal also. You need to get good Grades in SEE to choose A-Level.

 

The Courses is offered in two main Streams in A-Level. They are:

·         GCE A Level Science.

·         GCE A level Non-Science

 

The General Subjects of A-level are:

·         English Language and Literature

·         Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics

·         Management: Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and Mathematics

·         Humanities: Sociology, Psychology, Art & Design

Besides these Courses you can enroll into Technical Education and Vocal Training.
