Why rich people read so many Books ?

Why rich people read so many Books ?

Many people read books in their free time. The act of reading will help in the almost every aspect of the life. Mostly people like to read books before they go to the sleep. Books are the friend of many people around the world. But why do Rich People Read so many Books ?

Once someone asked to Warren Buffet that what is the secret behind his big net worth, Then pointing to the bookshelf beside him he said that, he read around 500 pages everyday. He believes that, the compounding of knowledge is greater than the compounding of money.  Only Warren Buffet is not a single person who gives importance to reading, But also the founder of Angelist and Angel Investors Naval Ravikant who gave funding to the startup like Twitter and Uber at early stage was asked that what were the effective ways to build a new mental model, then he said only a single sentence “Read a lot”. He could’ve suggested watching movies, documentaries and YouTube videos, but he gave importance to only reading because at first, every new idea of a person gets landed on paper after releasing from mind and only then it can be presented in the form of movies, videos, and documentaries.

Many of us think that we don’t need to read books because we can get any book summaries very easily on YouTube So yes, it is true to some extent but the way exercise is a must for the effective use of our body, in the same way reading is must for our brain. Reading books is equivalent to taking personal training from your mentor. By the way, the value of books is many more than their price. Reading Rs.100 book can be helpful for us to make million of rupees. For example - the things that are written in the books like Rich Dad Poor Dad and The Richest Man in the Babylon. According to a study, people who read more than 7 books in a year, their chances of becoming millionaires increases to 122% . By the way, we can say that books are like nuclear bombs; it is very smaller in size but its influence is very big in our life. That is why in 1933, thousands of books were burnt in the Germany at the behest of Hitler. So that no one can be influenced by those books due to which their rule could be continued. Even by knowing all these things youngsters does a lot of mistakes in book reading.

We should read books according to our needs. Like if you don’t have Rs. 100 in your pocket, so it’ll be waste to read books related to investment. In this situation, you should read the books which will help you to learn new skills so that people start paying you a little for that skill. After then you should read books like Richest Man in Babylon and Rich Dad And Poor Dad, then you can start your journey with share market. If you’re happy but don’t know to talk with people then it will be better to read books related to communication than happiness.

To understand the books, we can use CSB formula in which the C means knowing the Concept of any books at first. If you like the concept then come to S which means its Summary. Even after reading the summary, You find an interesting topic then only start reading any particular book. Reading without implementation is another mistake that many youngsters do while reading a book. It is said that, it doesn’t matter how many books you’ve read. But the matter is how many books have passed through you which is true because it is not important that you’ve to finish a book within a week;  you can read a book in a month or in a year even if you’re going slow but keep going and don’t stop. Start with little target and try to read at least one paragraph in a day, then try to increase you to one page a daily and increase it gradually.

Even if you read thousand of books but if you don’t start implementing it, so it is not going to be of any use. It is said that you should start doing work according to your skill, not in which you’re not skilled and Naval Ravikant also says that reading is not a kind of race. The better the book is, the more slowly you should read it. World famous rapper Eminem reads a dictionary daily to build the vocabulary so that he could do better rhyming with his words. Remember one thing. You will never become a pro reader overnight. You’ve to start with slow. Create an environment of reading around you. As when you keep something apart from your eyes in order to avoid it and if you like something then you keep it infront of your eyes. In the same way, just walk around with 1 – 2 books in your bag.

In the 5 am club Robin Sharma says, that if it takes more than 1 hour to go and come from your office to home, then you should join the Traffic University. Traffic University means, instead of watching ad boards and other stuff while travelling, you can use that time for learning. Most people sleep while travelling on public transportation or else they waste their precious time by day dreaming and chit – chatting while achievers take leverage of their time by listening to podcasts, summaries, and other stuffs. The fact is, listening to a new idea while travelling can be helpful to make millions of rupees or it can increase exponentially your creativity and productivity i.e investing your time in yourself can give you the highest return and yes, make sure to read the books which you really like. Try to enjoy reading.
